Film ‘NAA’ is the new message for women

The new film ‘NAA’ directed by Arijit Mukherjee gives a social message to the women of the society on being upright and uncompromised on any issue of life not liked by them. The struggle of Sanjana and her mother Bidipta portrays the common skirmish of a girl’s life. The film is based on the most common problem that any woman faces in her daily life is sexual abuse.

The story revolves around a single mother, Bidipta, and her vocally impaired daughter Sanjana and the plot gets complicated when Bidipta appoints Anish for managing her catering business and gradually he becomes a part of the family. The boy makes unwanted advances towards Sanjana which leaves her depressed and numb. Bidipta senses something fishy as also told by the maid of her house and teaches her daughter not to compromise with any situation. The lessons change Sanjana’s life but how did she change is the take away for the audience of the film.

Arijit Mukherjee speaks on the film, “Abuse of women is a curse in today’s India. All of us must stand against it and need of the day is nothing but thousands of Sanjana like this who shall rise overall odds and stand firmly against all those rogues who consider women as instruments for enjoyment only.” The film though deals with a dark aspect of our society yet show a positive hope and give a lesson to the women to fight back.

The lyrics of the music are done by Sibashish Danda, music by Amit Sur and sung by Ananya Ojha. The film will release on Arijit Official YouTube Channel and the director is hopeful for the film and the music for the positive response from the audience.
