Whichever hip destination you’ve decided to head to this summer, make sure to gear upright! To help you out with that we’ve made a list of few go-to tips to keep you as fresh and glamorous looking as the mojitos you’d be sipping on your holiday…
Pack to Perfection
- Goa or Colombo beaches?
Summers and beaches go hand in hand. Wherever you go this summer, you know you need to make a few suitcase edits. Number one on the list must be the sexy bikini or a monokini. The second close to it is the Floral Maxi dress or the Tie-dyed maxi dress, for a more relaxed bohemian look. And number three? It’s got to be the floral or sheer cover-up. Florals and bold prints are a big hit for the summers.
- Colour code
Want to edit down your holiday wardrobe? Sticking to a colour palette of three shades max will help you with this difficult task. It will also ensure everything you do take works together. You can stick to milder pastels rather than darker shades.
- Slip in a scarf
It is a magnificent multi-tasker that you can use as a cover-up en route to the bar, as a sexy sarong and even as a turban to protect your hair from the sun.
Tip: When not using your scarf, tie it around your hobo bag, to add a little jazz to your summer style.
- Stay fresh
An uplifting scent can always add more wow factor than a statement accessory. So make sure to pack that delicious smelling perfume you’ve been saving up forever and don’t forget to carry a bottle of body mist in your beach bag. Go for floral and tropical fruity scents for the daytime and save the heavier eu de perfumes for the dinner parties.
- Don’t forget your flats
It’s your summer holiday and you surely don’t want to tire your feet by walking around in heels. And this calls for the understanding that we surely cannot ignore those flats. Bring back your ballet flats and leather sandals this summer. Be it leather gladiators, for the Coachella festive-feel or the beige ballets for a more polished look. However, keep in mind to pick the ballet flats with a supportive front and a slight heel. Also, don’t forget to paint your toenails for the touch of perfection.
