A first of its kind photo exhibition, named ‘Shakti Rupena’ by Chaitali Chakraborty, has been organized by Indian World Foundation (IWF), New Delhi with collaboration ICCR, Government of India from 17th March to 19th March at ICCR Gallery, Kolkata. The exhibition saw the presence of Hon’ble Governor of West Bengal Dr. Kesharinathji Tripathi, Shri Sovan Chatterjee, Minister in West Bengal Govt., and eminent actresses like Debashree Roy, Indrani Halder, Anjana Basu, Sohini Sarkar.
Renowned commercial and advertising photographer Chaitali Chakraborty has taken a unique step by featuring the new age transgender women merging the concept of history and the present era women and where special photography on Tollywood divas like Debashree Roy, Indrani Halder, Sohini Sarkar and Anjana Basu have ignited life into some of the well-conceptualized characters as per the theme which is a modern comparison of women with historical characters.
The inauguration event also had the presence of Shree Ghatak Muhuri – the first legal transgender marriage in India and Pramita Chakraborty – of Bodhu Boron fame.
