Vegetable Pulao

Ingredients:

1 . 2 cup Basmati rice

2 . 100 gms shelled peas

3 . 100gms carrot (chopped)

4 . 100 gms cauliflower(chopped)

5.  2 cinnamon sticks (dar chini)

6 . 2 cloves (laung)

7 . 2 black cardamoms (Badi Elaichi)

8 . 2 bay leaves

9 . 2 tbsp ghee/oil

10 . 4 cups of water

11 . salt and black pepper powder to taste

Method:

1 . Wash and soak rice for 2 mins

2 . In a microwave safe bowl, microwave oil/ghee for 30 secs at 100% power.

3 . Add cumin, cloves, black cardamoms, bay leaves, salt and chopped vegetables and microwave at 100% power for 2 mins. Stir in between.

4 . Add soaked rice and 4 cups of water. Cover the bowl and microwave it at 100% power for 9 -10 mins and then 60% power for 5-6 mins. Stir in between.

5. Allow to stand for 5 mins and then serve it.

Chilli Chicken

Ingredients:

1. Boneless chicken 500gms

2. Onion finely chopped

3. Capsicum 2 nos

4. Green chilli – 4/6 nos

5. Soya sauce – 4 tbsp

6. Tomato sauce – 6/8 tbsp

7. Vinegar – 2 tbsp

8. Ararot powder- 200gms

9. Corn flour – 100gms

10. White oil

Method :

1 .Clean and wash chicken with Water.

2 .In a bowl soak chicken with 2 tbsp vinegar for 1 hour, make a batter with ararot powder, corn flower and water as required.

3 . Drain out water from chicken. Then add soya sauce, tomato sauce green chilli and marinate the whole thing for 1 hour.

4 . Put the whole chicken in the batter and fry it piece by piece.

5. Then put onions capsicum in the frying pan and fry it a little bit.

6. Add soya sauce, tomato sauce, green chilli and fried chicken and 1/2 cup of water.Allow it to stand for 5 mins with cover. Serve it hot.
