Woman Times, a webzine dedicated to woman and which campaigns #ItsWomaniyah, celebrated 156th birth anniversary of Rabindranath Tagore on 9th May 2017 at the rooftop of Gandhara Art Academy at Survey Park, Kolkata. Among the invited guests few names were Tirthashundar Biswas, Piyali Ganguly, Supoorna Mukherjee, Pavlu Banerjee, Sashibhanu Sarkar, Shibani Pande and Lipi Choudhury to name few.
The evening witnessed the ceremonial acknowledgement of Tagore’s contribution towards the world literature in general and the Indian culture in particular. With recitals, dance performance and Rabindra Sangeet the event went in the flow of creation of various forms of performing arts. Upcoming poets like Sufia Khatoon, Amit Shankar Saha, Sujata Sarkar and much alike performed their hearts out.
The three-hour was a success remembering Tagore and creating creations to continue the legacy that Tagore leaves behind.
