Bhasha Mukherjee resumes medical duty to help COVID19 patients

Dr Bhasha Mukherjee is an Indian origin British citizen. Recently, she has been crowned Miss England 2019. She also represented England at Miss World 2019 and was placed in Top 40. Born in 1996 in India Bhasha was just 9 years old when shifted to the United Kingdom. She went to the University of Nottingham, receiving a Bachelor of Science in medical sciences and a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery.

“There’s no better time for me to be Miss England and helping England at a time of need,” as said to CNN.

According to CNN, she told that it will be wrong to wear her Miss England crown, even for humanitarian work while people around the world were dying from coronavirus and her colleagues were working so hard. She will be self-isolating herself for two weeks before joining the hospital.

Dr Bhasha Mukherjee was in India for her various charitable works on behalf of Coventry Mercia Lions Club, a UK-based development and community charity. While she was in Kolkata she donated books and stationeries to the needy schools of Kolkata. She has also donated money for a home sheltering abandoned girls. She, from her young age, had her own charity organisation named The Generation Bridge Project. The charity connects the two generations of youth and the elderly.

Mukherjee sets out a perfect example of beauty with brains. She chose her duty over her crown and has postponed all her charitable endorsements till August 2020. She will be practising to help fight the crisis.
