Woman Times Desk: Goddess Lakshmi is the Hindu Goddess which gives prosperity and blissful life. The former co-actors Promita Chakrabartty and Rudrajit Mukherjee invoked the blessings of Lakshmi before starting their conjugal life. Actor Rudrajit said, “It was Promita’s idea to arrange a Puja at my place as I had always been busy with shoots and could never arrange a Puja here.”
The future celebrity husband-wife shares the responsibility in arranging the Puja. While Rudrajit has purchased all the ingredients Promita prepared the list and made other arrangements for the pious rituals. “Next year on 14th February we will have our ring ceremony,” says the actor in the red ravishing saree.
The onscreen Champa speaks, “I have imbibed the culture from my family. I have seen how Maa invoked the blessings of Goddess Lakshmi before any good occasion thus came to mind to carry forward the ritual before we step into our new life.” Rudrajit explains how excited he was to listen to Promita’s plan but then he realised that it was a long list of requirements. I went from the shooting floor to buy things. Later the list went on and on.”

Promita also candidly told Woman Times that this was her first experience organising the Puja and her mother helped her over the phone to make the list. The celebrity couple has planned to tie the knot next year making their fans more excited for the event. Wish them all luck for their new life!
