Woman and fashion are inseparable and so for our readers, Arita Goswami throws light on the basics of base make-up…let’s have a try as she suggests some a,b,c of make-up.
Fashion and make-up go hand in hand and thus wearing the right clothes need the correct make-up to complement the look and also to complete the package. Yes! A right blend of clothes and make-up can change your looks and bring out the oomph factor in you…Let’s check out the basics of a proper base make-up which can turn you into a complete party package.
Base Makeup:
- Start with a clean fresh face. Use your daily scrub. Wash and dry your face then apply some moisturizer.
- Once your face is moisturized and ready for the makeup, it is time to add another protective shield that is, a gel primer before your makeup.
- While applying the foundation one must be careful in choosing the shade as the correct shade can make you look the best while the reverse can do the adverse.
- After applying the foundation, you must set it up with powder.
- After settling down with the base application of foundation it is time to proceed with the detailing. If you plan for a bright colored dress remember to stay away from bright colours. Choose a palette in nude or neutral shades. And if your dress shade is light or white then bright makeup will complement the best.
- Apply some concealer on your eyelid so that the eye shadow stays long. Even in the case of choosing a shade of eyeshadow, one must keep in mind that the color of the eyeshadow to be selected on the basis of:
- Eye color
- Hair color, and
- Skin color
- Apply the eyeshadow close to your lash line first and then spread the rest of it on your entire eyelid just till the crease.
- If you want a smokey eye then pick a light brown eye shadow on your brush and gently apply it in your crease smudging out the harsh edges as you go. But remember the base eye shadow shade should be either black or brown.
The vast and best area of the face is done and you can see the emerging party lady within you hoping with enthusiasm of the new look. Now for the face do the minimal as when eyes are highlighted keep rest of the make-up low. Neutral is better than pigments. So opt for the natural blush that you like to wear every day. Swipe your favourite lipstick (keeping the color of the dress in your mind) and border out the lip line with a nude or light shade of lip liner. And you are ready to burn the hearts and look hot!
