ISKCON celebrates Rath Yatra adhering to COVID19 protocol

At 1 p.m: The Kolkata Police Pilot cars will escort Their Lordships to another ISKCON premises which is about 4 km away from ISKCON temple. Their Lordships will stay at ISKCON House where they will stay till ultarathyatra.

HG Radha Raman says, “None of us at ISKCON had ever thought that the Golden Jubilee celebrations would be mostly a virtual Rathayatra affair. COVID-19 has devastated and disrupted the way we used to live, work and celebrate. Just few days’ back, Supreme Court while rejecting all pleas against Odisha govt order to confine Rathayatra to Puri commented that ‘Hope God will allow Rathayatra next year.’ But it is not God, it is we the people who are responsible for the terrible situation we are in due to COVID.”

“The nature always rings its alarm bell but when we do not give attention to it then like a mother of a naughty child, when a child doesn’t obey, the mother scold’s and confines child to a room, Mother Nature also when see is we are going terribly wrong, respond’s and we get the reactions and then all of us suffer. Vaccines are important to fight COVID, but it is also important to find and contemplate the root cause of it and how it originated. Whether wrong food habits caus it or some demonic brains, the underlying cause is not respecting and caring for the Laws of nature” he added.
