Turning back,
I wondered the distance covered…
Stopping for a while,
I wondered if I could go on…
Turning back again,
I wondered who the people are…
Amidst the darkness whose faces glowed.
Oh! I realized,
They made me rise to go on and on…
Through the dense veil of darkness…
Resuming the journey,
I wondered the mysterious pranks of time,
Slows down when I wished it to pass with haste,
Fast it goes when I wished it to hold on for long,
I being pranked by it amidst its perpetual web,
Was left impatient to wonder if I could go on…
Turning back again,
Glimpsed of the faces that glowed.
Faces that made me rise again to go on and on…
In the midst of numbness and drowsiness,
Raise me up, lifted the strength within,
And continued towards the destined journey…
Remembering everyone-
Whom I left behind,
And who left me behind,
Who smiled and waved at me on my way,
And who moved on without a say.
Stopping for a moment,
I turned back again,
And my heart froze,
With the sudden trace of emptiness…
The glowing faces disappeared,
But no wonder I needed to rise up and go on and on…
From then, every turn I took,
Provided an impetus to move on and on…
For there kept waiting a pair of eyes to meet mine,
For there kept waiting one’s hands to hold mine,
For there kept waiting one’s heart to touch mine,
For there kept waiting one’s glowing face to brighten the path of mine,
For there kept waiting a person to continue and turn the journey of mine into a journey of togetherness,
And turn my world into a world of eternal peace and bliss,
Where I can rest in sublimity forever and ever and ever.
