‘Long Way to Go’ – new album for the generation

The Doodle room on 26th February chimed with the musical event that started with a discussion on the passion for music and formation of ‘Kolkata Music Diary’ in order to create a platform for young talents in Kolkata with Sufia Khatoon – a poet, artist, philanthropist and PR & event manager. It then followed with Pavlu Banerjee’s first solo English album released by Sufia Khatoon, along with band members of Kolkata Music Dairy.
A performance of some selective songs from his latest Album “Long Way To Go” voicing out the violence in society and other social evils through his songs like ‘Without Out’, ‘Free’, ‘Stained Glasses’, ‘Long way to go’ and two folk songs.
Pavlu Banerjee released his first Bengali solo rock album “Spondon Khoron” consisting of 9 original Bengali songs written composed and sang by me in Jan 2015.The album deals with social issues like female foeticide (song name: Bhrunhottya), legalisation of the sex trade to stop human trafficking (song name: sonagachi), Rape(song name: Nirbhaya “written in the memory of the girl who was gang-raped and murdered in Delhi Bus Rape case). The album is already available on iTunes, amazon, spotify, saavn, gaana, soundcloud etc.Several videos are also available on youtube.
