An international classical evening by “Nritya Bharati Global”, international dance production house led by dr Moumita Majumder Dutta, in association with Toronto Tabla Ensemble, Boom Media (Baje Chobi) and Sohoj Manush led by Tirtha Sundar Biswas held on 23rd May 2017 at Birla Academy of Art and Culture in Kolkata.
The event was inaugurated by the street children of Pradnaya Welfare Society, Sriram Mittal, Dr. Moumita Majumder Datta, Tomorrow Foundation and Tirtha Sundar Biswas of Sohoj Manush. The program opened with the felicitation to writers, singers, and physically challenged people after which a beautiful song of Rabindranath Tagore in chorus followed by various solo and group performances in dance and song. The program was organized and coordinated by Dr Moumita Majumder Datta, Neuropsychologist, and the Artist Director for India.
Dr Moumita Majumder Datta performed “Bhanusingher Podaboli” – an innovative beautiful compilation of Kathak and Flamenco dance form and Radha Krishna Dance Drama Act a fusion which infused the serenity to the senses through the act.
This kind of event can be expected in future for the enhancement of the culture and perseverance of traditional roots.
