Shyamasree Samman 2020

Shyamasree Samman 2020

When the festival of lights was masked due to pandemic and its strict rules, and the City of Joy started unlearning the meaning of flame, it was important to light a candle. Darkness is lame without light, evil is lame without virtue and so too for defeat and victory. Keeping this in mind, and considering the restrictions by the government, 26 pandals of Kolkata uphold their brightest hands to celebrate the progressing victory over Covid 19 through the Dipavali festival. Monginis presents Woman Times Shyamasree Samman 2020 lifted those hands to felicitate them.
With the message, “In this pandemic Woman Times Shyamasree Samman’20 salutes the spirit of the organizers and committee members for keeping up the spirits of celebration high and maintaining all the safety measures and protocols amidst the crisis”, Woman Times inaugurated this event on 13th and 14th November 2020. We were blessed with the presence of jury members Chef Rongon Neogi, Rajiv Jaishwal, Mimi Das, Arpita Bose, Shaon Sen, and Debopam Sarkar in that event.
