Human life is full of surprises as well as problems. Every day a new problem creeps wrapped up with the shortage of time, conflicting choices that are tied with our obvious mood swings. Of all the daily problems, the most frequent one is the “Wardrobe Crisis”!
Seems a routine hitch right?
“I have nothing to wear” is a common dialogue that buzzed our ears usually.
As the closet opens to offer us its contained products, we get a panic attack. Anytime while getting ready for the college, friends reunion or for a day’s out, we become somewhat bizarre. To find the right kind of dress at the right time is a fortune. The dressing is an art – the art of knowing how to carry ourselves during various occasions we partake in. When we know what to wear in wedding or gala events, we mess up with the everyday outfits.
So, let’s check out the common problems that a girl faces with her wardrobe and solutions to affix the problems. Keep Reading!
- The “Appropriate” one
“The first impression is the lasting impression”.
Our dressing sense reflects who we are and influences all kinds of impressions. People make snap judgments about our personality with the attire we drape. So when we consider opinions don’t matter, impressions might do, for which the right form of dressing is the primary need. To wear the right kind of dress in the right place is the need of the day. To choose among the huge collection is a tough job.
Solution:
For a date: The First date is all about leaving a good impression. The secret here is to be yourself and dress casually as you’d always do. Wearing jeans and a top, which will make you comfortable yet trendy, is advisable.
For a get-together, picnic or family party: The dress code should be casual and comfortable so as to enjoy the fullest.
For a religious ceremony: Religious events tend to be more conservative, thus it is better to check its conventions before picking up one. The traditional dress should be opted for.
For a Funeral: Funeral, being distressing, requires light coloured clothes (preferably black or white).
Corporate meetings and interviews: Interviews are to judge your personality and leave an impression that lasts for long. So go for a corporate look, i.e. formal trousers, blazer with single-coloured shirts.
- Fake pockets or no pockets
There are some fake pockets attached to our tops and on the other hand, there are no pockets at all and to keep the money, lip-balms and small necessities become impossible.
Solution: The Solution for this could be to carry a handy purse that is easy to lug and matches your attire.
- “Match the following” problem
When you open your wardrobe, the primary problem is to search for a matching pair of dresses. In a hurry, we simply get confused where the dupatta is that goes in sync with the salwar, the leggings must match the Kurti you are wearing and so on.
Solution: The only solution to this is to keep the different sets of cloth together so that it does not mess up. Also, try experimenting with new colours and combinations. Mixing your existing clothes in unexpected colour combinations can make them feel fresh. Do not restrict a single pair of a dress just to itself rather try them differently in varied ways.
- Choice Vs Cash
The cash problem remains constant as our demands normally exceed our budget. When the prevailing trend attracts us, our purse restricts to follow our heart. Even a pair of jeans, which need more fabric, is cheaper than shorts. Different malls with different brands catch our attraction and hence put us in the dilemma of choosing the right one because when we are finished off with shopping, the dress hanging just behind the door starts playing with our emotion and the purse in our hand reminds us of the burning pocket.
Solution: A solution for this can be that we make a chart of our favorites and to buy them one by one, i.e. with appropriate intervals. It will give a “manchaha” wardrobe and won’t bang upon your purse.
The solution for Wardrobe Dilemma- Following the 4 R’s:
Reduce: The clothes which are dormant for years in the cupboard and are no more attractive you should not be a member of your cupboard anymore.
Resolve: Launder, iron and take care of the expensive dresses.
Reorganize: Your closet should be organised in such a way that the clothes that you wear every day should be at a hand distance.
Reinvent: If you are wearing a dress for a long time, then do not abandon it. Rather use the “Mix & Match therapy”, that is, “yahanse kuch wahanse kuch, tabhi to kuch-kuch hota hai!”
With these tips, you can turn noisy with your old wardrobe in a new way. Try it, Girls!
