“Bengal has always been a place where ideas, enterprise, education and culture have come together. With ‘Bengal: The Next Chapter’, we wanted to create a platform where these strengths could meet today’s opportunities. By bringing leaders from Kolkata and Hyderabad across business, investment, startups, academia and other sectors on one platform, we hope to encourage conversations that can develop into meaningful partnerships. And what better time to do this than during Durga Puja, when Bengal is at its most vibrant best”, said Mr Meghdut RoyChowdhury, Executive Director & Chief Innovation Officer, Techno India Group.

The inauguration marked the beginning of a four-day program that will feature a series of business and leadership engagements, including a Policy Roundtable, CHROs Meet with TIG Leadership, Startup Speed Dating, a Family Offices and GCC Leaders’ Meet, one-on-one meetings between startups and investors and a CHROs’ Conclave at Techno India University. The program will also include curated experiences around Kolkata’s culture, heritage and Durga Puja.

The cultural engagements will give participating leaders an opportunity to experience Kolkata beyond its business landscape, featuring a city experience, a visit to Chinatown, curated Durga Puja experiences, and visits to heritage spaces including Marble Palace and a Bonedi Bari.

Through ‘Bengal: The Next Chapter’, the organizers aim to create a platform that connects business and investment with Bengal’s cultural identity, while bringing together established leaders, investors, entrepreneurs, startups and emerging talent from different parts of the country.
