14th March 2019, Woman Times – When the Bengalis are connotated with beauty and brains beauty pageants are something we look forward to for more participation from Bengal. But the concept of pageants have changed and so are the criteria hence a national beauty pageant is always a turning point in the lives of dreamers who want to achieve what they can. VVN Entertainment has been able to bring in such a contest. Mr, Miss and Mrs Universe 2019. The announcement was done through a curtain raiser by the State Director Sneha Chakraborty on 13th March 2019 at Traffic Gastropub in Kolkata.
“This is VVN entertainment’s production Mr, Miss and Mrs Universe 2019 and the auditions for Kolkata will be on 21st April 2019 at Calcutta 64 in Kolkata.The finals will be held at Delhi in the month of June. Presently, I have 8 participants before officially announcing the event and I am looking for more 20 contestants.” says the State Director of the pageant, Mrs. Sneha Chakraborty.
The beauty contest will have three rounds – the first being the self-introduction round will know the participants better. Then followed by the talent around and Judge’s question-answer session to mark their overall performance.
Mimi Das, one of the Jury member of the pageant says, “Face is the index of the mind. I am looking for participants who are genuinely deserving and who are good human beings. I will ask questions to women who are married the essence of balancing the home and professional life. I will judge based on their capabilities to balance both.”
This will be the first event of Sneha Chakraborty to mentor a pageant after winning a few pageants herself she feels confident to make her participants ready for the main event.
Shree Ghatak, the grooming partner of the event overwhelmingly says, “I am so happy that Nykaa has been just 2 months old and we could be associated with this big beauty pageant. We are looking through the heel to hair care and self grooming. A good heart and to explore one self. Now people will see me in a new way as a groomer.”
Few personalities who have graced the event are Mimi Das, Debopam Sarkar, Somnath RoyChoudhury, Swastic Nag, and Partha Karmakar. The Jury members are Mimi Das, John Sengupta and Somanth Roy Choudhury. Shree Ghatak Mohuri will be the groomer for the event. The speciality of the event is that the age limit for both Mr and Miss is 18 to 30 years which is rarely seen in any beauty contests.
