Cholesterol is bad for health – Is it True or a Myth?

Balance is the main principle of the Universe, imbalance in anything, whether in cooking, eating, taking medicine, driving, or food etc. always causes diseases etc.

In everything we should maintain a balance, nothing should be too high nor too low only neutral or balanced. Hence, it is really important to understand that cholesterol is actually essential for the body to function properly. We all think it is bad but it is not so. To maintain balance it is important to take digestive fibre in the body for nourishing the body and get the right amount of cholesterol. The target is not to lessen the cholesterol but to be balanced. Cholesterol is used by the body for numerous actions, including building cell membranes, hormones, bile acids and synthesizing vitamin D.

Cholesterol plays an important role in constantly lubricating and supporting circulatory channels. To be healthy and functional, the channels must be flexible and elastic. Cholesterol plays an important role in the body such as arteries and veins carry blood to and from the heart,  it carries hot fluids in the body, carries nutrients to the cells and waste from the cells.

Eating the unhealthy type of fat like saturated fat, trans fats, overheated foods, hydrogenated vegetable oil, meat, all kinds of vegetables oil-packed foods, processed foods etc. leads to an imbalance of cholesterol and produce chronic heart disease and other stomach issues.

So we must know what kind of food one should eat to balance the cholesterol.

Apples:

Apples contain pectin, a soluble fibre which removes excess fats and improves the assimilation of the food you eat, which helps to regulate and balance cholesterol.

You can make a salad of apple, eat fresh or in the form of juice, which should not be canned or packed, only fresh to take all the nutrition from it.

 

 

Green Banana:

Green Banana is low in Sugar and harder than a yellow banana, that’s why green banana has lesser calories. It does not taste so good when you eat it raw, that’s why Green bananas require cooking before they can be eaten. They are usually boiled, steamed, or fried. But it is best to eat steamed and boiled to balance cholesterol.

Pomegranate:

Pomegranate juice is an experimental true remedy. It is also a great fruit given by nature to help in balancing the cholesterol. You can make fresh juice of it or eat it fresh in the morning or afternoon.

Pears:

Pears are high in vitamin C and copper. They are good in taste, you can take them as fresh juice, raw chopped, add in desserts, or as in salad form. Do not eat them at night as it may have an adverse effect.

Garlic:

Garlic cloves are the best way to balance cholesterol. Garlic is an anti-oxidant and has the medicinal properties to fight many other diseases also. If someone has heart problem due to cholesterol imbalances, then make a garlic tea rather than green tea, black tea, black coffee or milk tea, or chew it with lukewarm water, take with milk at night or if you do not like the taste then just take lukewarm water and gulp 2 or 3 garlic pieces a day.

Turmeric:

Turmeric has therapeutic content and used in different parts of the world as it has many medicinal properties. Turmeric with milk or warm water, can balance your cholesterol and fight other diseases in your body.

Ginger:

You can take ginger tea with honey, ginger paste with honey, add ginger detox water, or add ginger in your all eating food. It is such a game-changer and excellent spice that can be used daily.

It cures most of the diseases and neutralises the cholesterol in the body.

Coriander:

Use coriander in your diet. It is considered both as a warming and a cooling herb; because of its therapeutic properties, it is good for health. Coriander has the quality to reduce the level of cholesterol and many other diseases.

Broccoli:

Broccoli is high in fibre, and also keeps the stomach satisfied for a long time. It is a good source of nutrition. Beta-carotene, omega 3 fatty acids, Vitamin C and E  reduce the levels of unhealthy cholesterol and balances it in the body.

Moong Daal Sprout:

Moong daal sprouts are lighter and easier to digest. It is loaded with potassium, calcium, magnesium, Vitamin C, dietary fibre, low in cholesterol, a good source of thiamine, niacin, vitamin K,  vitamin B6, copper, riboflavin, folate acid, manganese, iron, and phosphorus.

That’s why moong daal sprouts balance the cholesterol.
