Google has been showering us with information related to anything under the sun and as it can be quoted the new trend in treating agonized souls, which may be both physically and mentally affected. According to it, “The healing arts are creative practices that promote healing, wellness, coping and personal change. Traditional healing arts include music, art, dance or movement, poetry or writing, and drama therapies.” Again this art has, since ages, been experimented through different expert fields and another innovation to it has been the touch therapy which has the tremendous power to minister any pain; and then here is this therapy which is transmitted to masses at one go through the powerful energy within the healing expert.

We as living things be it human beings, animals or plants, have the capacity to heal ourselves and it is nature’s gift to us, that we have the profound capacity to heal others who come in contact with us. Since, the time we have become aware of this ‘Healing Potential’, we have started sharing this divine potential with our loved ones. To enlighten this topic an apt example is when we touch the feet of our elders to show the respect they offer us “aashirwad” or blessings, this is a form of healing.  Again, when a child is unwell the mother comforts with the warmth of her love and it acts as a form of healing; further, when we go to any temple and touch the temple floor, or do pradakshina, or bow down to the statue, this is also a form of healing which fills our lives with positive energy.  We receive Divine healing when we do the ‘Arti’, read out ‘Namaz’, pray with joined hands, or even when we perform ‘Garba’ around  Maa Durga, or when we participate in any religious festivals.

So, healing and divine healing is a part of our nature and culture. It is just that we are not aware of it.  This is an age-old technique long touched by ignorance. So when we receive religious healing, we don’t see the difference. Why? It is because the more one is aware of, the more open to the idea, the more benefits the person receives.

So how do we receive healing from our mom or family members?  When they have the love for us, they allow the energy to flow, they become the channel of healing and that completes the circle of giving and take, this is the usual phenomenon that we receive healing.

Nowadays, you have heard of Reike, here the person (the healer) becomes a medium or channel of cosmic energy (life force) and sends healing to the receiver.  This is done within a very short distance, between the healer and the receiver, in a one to one technique that emits energy strongly concentrated to the receiver.

When the healer is of higher frequency, the distance is unlimited, and healing can be done from one source to many people at one go.  This is how these days some Healing Channels (the person who becomes the medium of healing) do their healing work. This energy healing is the beginning of a new era of alternative medicine or alternative therapy.
