Homeopathy Trade Welfare Organisation stands against initiation of Expiry Date on Homeopathy drugs

26th April 2017, Kolkata: The Homeopathy Trade Welfare Organisation (West Bengal) has organized its annual meet at Moulali Yuva Kendra Association. Sri Baban Ghosh, the President of the association and other members – Dr. Samsul Alam Laskar, Dr. Debnath  Mukherjee, Sri Rahul Shaw, Dr. Balaram Paul were present.

The President of the association, Homeopathy Trade Welfare Organisation (West Bengal) inaugurated the event by showing respect to the statue of ‘Hanhneman’ with a garland. Social activist, Prasun Panja in his speech says, “Doctors can not set up a pharmacy themselves and for that, we are dependent on the homeopathy pharmacies.” The agenda of the press conference was the initiation of the expiry date on the homeopathy medicines by the central government. As the association believes that homeopathy medicines are prepared using the ‘Extra Neutral Alcohol’ which never expires.

Sri Baban Ghosh – the President of the association says, “Sell of homeopathy medicines at a general pharmacy must be restricted. This is your revolution; it is common people’s revolution as more than 70% of people relies on homeopathy hence this must be taken seriously.” Dr. Samsul Alam Laskar, the general secretary says, “The homeopathy pharmacies have reached the worst point where the sales are dropping. Medicines are sold on vehicles.”
