India’s first trans-woman lawyer who won a civil case becomes the chief patron of NHRF

27th November 2018, Kolkata – India’s first trans-woman lawyer to win a civil case becomes the chief patron of the National Human Rights Federation (NHRF) as conferred by the NHRF President Suvradip Chowdhury. This organisation is a civil body that has been formed to spread awareness in various areas and with different people who have not yet progressed.

The National Human Rights Federation (NHRF) has many projects of which the ‘Go Green’ and ‘Street Children’ are to be worth mentioned. They are also coming up with awareness campaigns on transgender and the project is termed as ‘Chitrangada’.

Megh Sayantan Ghosh says, “I am happy to be a part of the NHRF as the Chief patron and I wish to spread awareness in a large scale. There are projects that I will be starting soon for the betterment of the society.”
