30th September 2019, Woman Times Desk – Durga Puja is the biggest festival for the people of Eastern India and on the occasion, Irani Mitra has launched her signature lehenga prior Puja thinking about all the section of women and their choices. The launch was held at Irani Mitra Studio at Prince Anwar Shah Road last week. The showstopper for the event was Baby Ahana and Pamita Sadhukhan.
The launch displayed different lehengas with the unique signature style of Irani Mitra, having varied patterns, colour and fabric for both casuals and party wear. Another attraction the launch had that they displayed both professionals and common women during the fashion walk.
Jaya Chanda, Baby Ahana, Sabi Lodhi, Surjit Kaur, Sonali Chakraborty, Amrita Singh, Arbie Chatterjee, Pamita Sadhukan, Doll, Madhumita Sengupta, and Premlata Jhammar were part of the fashion walk.
As Irani Mitra says,“I see the personality of the one who comes to me and frame design accordingly. The budget and choice are the parameters for the same.”
Pamita Sadhukhan, Winner of Mrs Bengal 2018 and the carrier of many achievements to her credit, walked the fashion show as a showstopper along with Baby Ahana, says, “It was a privilege and honour wearing the beautiful lehenga designed by Irani Mitra. Every design was different from the other, they are very trendy and fashionable. The collection is unique and will love to wear designs again.”
Arbie Chatterjee, an entrepreneur also comments, “I am conscious about what I wear and hence have always been apprehensive on wearing just anything, but Irani Mitra’s designer saree was not just comfortable but also trendy which redefines the six-yard.”
The lehenga launch also focused on the style and fashion of women from 8 years to 80 years where Premlata Jhammar, a lady of 65 years old participated wearing the Irani Mitra designer saree.
“The most amazing thing about Irani Mitra’s lehengas is that one can wear that for as long as 12 hours without feeling heavy on oneself. The designs are the best and even celebrities of the Tollywood industry wears only Irani Mitra designs and I think it is only because of her consistent thought process on affordability and designs that women love to wear her lehengas” says, Dr Madhumita Sengupta, working in the Ministry of Corporate Affairs.
