Kolkata women poets honored in Sultanate of Oman

December, Muscat: Leading women poets of Kolkata, India, author Priyanka Banerjee and author Ipsita Ganguli, had the rare honor of being hosted and felicitated in Sultanate of Oman by Motivational Strips Headquarters, Best Western Premier, Speedy Enterprises, and Raysut United Development LLC yesterday. For the first time in the world history, leading corporates partnered with a literary forum to sponsor a mammoth global poetry contest.

The two poetry champions had won the rendition category in the ‘Be A Star’ poetry contest conducted by Motivational Strips, the world’s most active writers forum, and offered a full paid trip to Oman with a luxurious felicitation event at Best Western Hotel in Muscat yesterday. They were honored with expensive gifts, souvenirs, and accolades.

Notable guests at the event were Sheikh Said Ahmed Al Mashikhi, Managing Director of Raysut United Development LLC, a leading corporate entity importing gold and frankincense, Best Western Premier Hotel General Manager Mr. Abdul Samad, Speedy Enterprises Managing Director Mr. Shakthi Prasad Jayadev, Akbar group and silver line trading representation Mr. Ajay Rishi, Speedy Enterprises LLC Operations head Saril Mohan and Muhammed Shoaib.

The founder and president of Motivational Strips, Shiju H Pallithazheth, thanked the corporate sponsors for the support extended to world poetry through the ‘Be A Star’ contest.

Sheikh Said Al Mashikhi stated, ‘Oman is open to poets, and poetry is much appreciated by the country. It’s a divine art that has to be accorded all respect’. Sheikh Said also added that Oman is glad to welcome more poets in the coming years. Best Western Premier GM Abdul Samad said their hotel group would keep supporting literary activities of Motivational Strips and thanked all guests for making it a delightful evening.

Speedy’s Managing Director Shakthy Prasad said that their entire fleet of rental vehicles would be open to hosting more literary poets such as Ipsita and Priyanka while mentioning that the entity is always open to empowering world poetry. Ajay Rishi said he is looking forward to seeing more poets as winners in such contests. Author Priyanka and Author Ipsita felt honored, respected, and pampered in Oman. They added that the hospitality of Oman is a remarkable example of greater living, ideal etiquette, and mutual respect. The media coordination head of Motivational Strips, Sreekala P Vijayan, coordinated the virtual exposure of the entire event.
