This is a traditional Bengali style sweet dish. And, we Bengali’s lap up such things in no time. Steamed rice dumplings cannot get any better. Today, you will find a slight twist being added to the recipe.
Ingredients:
Milk: 1-1/2cup
Suji: 100gm
Dark Chocolate: 125gm
Sugar: 2tsp
Dryfruits: 4tbsp
Butter: 25gm
Milkpowder: 60gm
Ghee: 1 tbsp
Salt to Taste
Procedure:
First, take 1tbsp ghee and fry the dryfruits and keep it aside.
In the same kaadai, add 1/4 cup milk and let it boil. Add chocolate shavings. Also, add some dryfruits and sugar. Allow it to thicken and dry up a bit. This is the filling.
Add 4tbsp water and then add Suji and Salt in a separate Kaadai. Let it cook, until dry in texture. Add Suji and let it cook. Then, add 1 piece boiled potato and mash it. Make Puli-shaped bowls out of it. Spoon in the filling.
Add the remaining milk and chocolate along with 2tsp cocoa power, and butter in another pan, and boil for another 3 minutes. Add the puli and cook. Garnish with dry fruits.
