Woman Times Desk, Kolkata – Measles-Rubella (MR) vaccination campaign is launched in November 2018, a big step towards reducing childhood mortality, preventing birth defects in West Bengal, by Department of Health, West Bengal, India.
Lions Clubs International is one of the campaigning partners in all over India. Lions Clubs International has taken initiative to aware the children of schools and local areas through the distribution of leaflets, brochure and by putting hoardings, banners all over West Bengal regarding MR Vaccines.
The campaign was officially announced on 16th November 2018 at 5 pm at the Kolkata Press Club. Renowned award-winning film actress Ms Shreelekha Mitra along with Dr Jayesh Meheta, SRTL, NPSP (WHO), Dr Suresh Thakur, Health Officer UNICEF, Dr Amitabha Sarkar, (WHO), Lion Ashish Bhattacharya, PDG & other eminent guests were present at the press meet.
