Winter and jaggery has a strong association with each other for the Bengalis. And when jaggery gets fused in the delicious cake, the winter holidays becomes a treat.
Ingredients:
Milk- 1/2 cup
Jaggery- 3/4 cup
Powdered Oats- 1/2 cup
Flour(Aata)- 1/2 cup
Baking powder- 1/2 tsp
Baking soda- 1/2 tsp
Yogurt- 2 tbsp
Butter- 2 tbsp
Oats- 1 tbsp
Powdered Cashew (Kaju)- 1 tbsp
Cashew(Kaju)- 2 pcs
Process:
- Take a pan and mix the milk and jaggery properly and set it aside.
- Take a bowl. Add the powdered oats, flour, baking powder, baking soda on a strainer and strain them together in the bowl so that all the powder gets mixed well. The dry ingredients are ready.
- Mix the dry ingredients with the milk and jaggery and mix it with the help of a spatula.
- Add the yogurt with the mixture and mix properly.
- Pour the butter on it and wait until the butter gets melt thoroughly.
- Add the oats and cashew powder with the mixture. The cake batter is ready.
- Take a breaking cake tin and brush it with butter. Put a butter paper inside it and grease it with butter again. Pour the cake batter on it.
- Tap it twice to remove the air bubbles.
- Put the cashews as toppings.
- Preheat the microwave oven and bake the cake in convection mode on 180° C for 25 minutes. The oats jaggery cake is ready to be served.
