Rashbehari Residents’ Forum successfully conducts ‘Sustho’, a healthcamp for the residents of Kolkata

Woman Times Desk, 30th August 2019Health has been an important issue since ages for everyone and the Rashbehari Residents’ Forum has been instrumental in these services for many years. This year was no exception and the Forum successfully held the health camp ‘Sustho’ at 8, Lake Road recently. 

Many renowned laboratories, hospitals and clinics of the city participated in the camp providing everyone free checkups and blood tests at a very nominal cost, which otherwise can not be availed. The camp had eye checkup, blood donation camp, blood tests, sugar test, BMI, and many other tests. There was an organ donation counter where many people were seen pledging their organs. There was a dynamic age group present in the camp. Many women donated blood thereby sending a positive message to the society about the participation of women in the society.

Sudeep Mazumdar, the Secretary of the Forum says, “We have more than 200 members in our forum and we try to unite together for any occasion and contribute to the society. This includes different social activities for the underprivileged children, creating awareness for the environment and standing by the elderly people who are alone during their difficult times. We hope that our forum will soon be the city’s common forum.”
