Strawberry Sandesh: Fusion of Tradition and Freshness

Ingredients:

  • Milk ½ litre
  • Lemon 2pcs
  • Strawberry 10 pcs
  • Pistachio soaked and peeled 2tbsp

  • Sugar 6-8 tbsp
  • Cookie cutter: one round and one heart shaped

Preparation:

Boil and curdle milk with lemon juice to make chena. Tie chena with a muslin cloth tightly for
about an hour to extract water from it. Add sugar, chopped pistachio and chopped 3-4 pieces of strawberry with chena and knead it with your palm thoroughly. Bake chena for about 10 minutes to make sandesh.

Strawberry compote:

Chop strawberry and cook with 3-4 tbsp of sugar and 4 tbsp of water in a low flame until sauce thickened up. Remove from fire and let it cool.
