22nd December 2018, Kolkata – The city had hosted it’s first ever ‘live act fashion show’ inspired from the style of attire portrayed by the iconic fictional detective character of ‘Byomkesh Bakshi’ and his wife ‘Sotyoboti’ created by the eminent author, Saradindu Bandopadhyay. In line with the essence of the event, the spectacle named as ‘The Winter Inquisitor’ or ‘Sheet-er Sotyanweshi’ was presented by Mitramind and marked the launch of winter collection by designer Irani Mitra & ‘Storari’ brand by Rajendra Mitra at the fashion studio of Irani Mitra.
The team comprised of models Sucharita, Amrita, Prity, Srestha, Gargi, Nandini, Adrija, Sourav, Tridib, Manash, Sunny, Somnath, Dibyadyuti and Dip. The make-up was done by Arushi while Aritra captured all the moments of the show. The designer Irani Mitra says,
“It was wonderful creating designs to replicate the Byomkesh era. I always work for the satisfaction of the work itself. To recreate the two legendary characters – Byomkesh and Satyoboti were pretty difficult.”
The event showcased various live sequences inspired from the stories of ‘Byomkesh Bakshi’ which were enacted by the models under the choreography by Sourav Bandyopadhyay. After ‘Devi Shakti’ in October 2018, this show marked the second creative venture of 2018 by Anindya Mitra, the owner of Mitramind.
