10th November, Kolkata – Few cultural organizations of Kolkata – Kolkata Srutijatok, Mon Dariya, Naba Nandnik, Kolapi, and Shikhar have organized a three-day program, from 10th November 2017 to 12th November 2017, to promote and impart training on Baul, Bhawaiyya and Chatka Eminent personalities like Parvathy Das Baul and Mustafa Zaman Abbasi will honor the event. The last day will conclude the program with a cultural feast.
This three-day program will spread its wings at different places of Kolkata. The first-day venue in Salt Lake, the second day at EZCC in Salt Lake and the final day will take place at Gandhi Bhawan, Jadavpur University. The workshops will also be taken by the renowned singer Mustafa Jaman Abbasi, the son of the ‘Bhawaiyya Samrat’ Abbasuddin. Sri Abhijit Basu, the researcher of the ‘Bhawaiyya’ genre, will also be present.
