We all may not be aware of the fact that 11th February is celebrated as the International Day of women and girls in science and technology. The technology industry has quite a few women leaders who are working with top tech giants as CEOs and CFOs. We have apparently shortlisted the top 5 women leaders from the world of technology:

 

Sheryl Sandberg

Sheryl Sandberg,  Facebook COO 

This Facebook COO became the first woman to be among the board of directors of the company, back in 2012. Prior to joining Facebook she worked at Google and also served as the chief of staff at United States Secretary for Treasury.

Susan Wojcicki

 

Susan Wojcicki, YouTube CEO 

She is the woman behind YouTube, the world’s largest video sharing platform. She hailed over Google as marketing manager. It was her idea that Google acquires YouTube and double-click. Finally, she was appointed as CEO of YouTube in 2014.

 

Ginni Rometty

Ginni Rometty IBM CEO –

Ginni Rometty is the president, chairwoman, and CEO of IBM. She has been heading IBM since 2011 but even before that she held various important positions in the organization.

 

 

Angela Ahrendts, SVP for retail at Apple –

Angela Ahrendts

 

After serving as the CEO of luxury brand Burberry from 2004 to 2014, Ahrendts joined Apple as senior vice president of retail and online stores. She also sits on the UK prime minister’s business advisory council.

Amy Hood

Amy Hood, Chief Financial officer, Microsoft-

Amy Hood currently serves as the first female Chief Financial Officer at Microsoft Corporation since May 2013.

She has been with the company since 2002 before which she has worked with Goldman Sachs.
