From a Lockdown Idea to a Culinary Journey
In 2020, during the lockdown, Goppoburir Henshel was born from a simple idea shared by three friends—Arijit, Arnab and Sanhita. With most eateries closed, people were missing the comfort of delicious, home-cooked food. The trio came together to create something meaningful and bring traditional flavours to people’s homes.
What started as a way to beat the lockdown blues gradually became a culinary journey celebrating food, memories and traditions.
The Story Behind the Name
The name Goppoburir Henshel reflects the connection between food and storytelling. “Goppo” refers to stories and the oral tradition through which recipes have travelled from one generation to another. “Henshel” represents the kitchen—a place where food, conversations and ideas come together.
