Apple Mishti – a sweet that resembles the shape of an apple

A sweet in the shape of the all-season fruit – Apple.

Ingrediets:

Full Fat Milk- 500 gm

Powdered Milk- 1 cup

Condensed Milk- 1 cup

Khoya (Mawa)- 100 gm

Cashew paste (Kaju paste)- with 10 kajus

Sugar- 1 cup

Sirka- 2 tsp

Saffron (Kesar)- 1 tsp

Clove (Labanga)

Red Food colour

Process:

  • Take a pan and heat the milk.
  • Add the vinegar to make the chhena (cheese curd).
  • Strain the excess water from the chhena and wash it again with cold water.
  • Mix properly the Kaju paste and milk powder to the chhena.
  • Add the condensed milk and mawa and mix everything properly.
  • Bring that to a boil and simmer them till they form one string consistency.
  • Once the mixture reaches the consistency, grease your palms with butter and take a small portion of the mixture into your palms.
  • Roll the mixture with your hand and make it a dough. Press it with your hands to give it a shape of an apple.
  • Press the middle and place a clove in the centre. Put the stick of the clove on the upper side.
  • Now take red food colour in a bowl and add the saffron. Use a paintbrush to paint all over the apples.
  • Let it sit for a few minutes and serve the Apple Mishti with a cheer.
