The series revolves around the high-class drama of the upper-middle class society, somewhere in Gurgaon.
If you delve into the character o Arya, you will feel that he is an extension of Manu Joseph, who has created the series. Arya, played by R Madhavan, is not the kind of man you would want to spend your evening with. As a writer, he is always into himself. Moreover, he is very much away from emotions.

The story is based on new-age relations and revolves around the changing dynamics of marriage. You can pretty well understand how the entire world revolves around the characters. There is pretty much a Arya and Shruti in every family. Arya also comes across a sexist streak of his nature, where he always abuses domestic help.
