- Dried Figs (Dumur) – 200g
- Milk – 1 liter
- Condensed Milk – 200g
- Sugar – 50g
- Milk Powder – 50g
- Cashew Paste – 50g
- Almond Paste – 50g
- Bay Leaf – 1
- Green Cardamoms – 2–3 pods
- Dry Fruits (Raisins, Chopped Almonds/Cashews) – 30g
- Roasted Sesame Seeds – 20g
Method for cooking Dumur Kheer:
For Dumur Kheer:
- Boil the dried figs until soft, then blend into a smooth paste.
- In a heavy-bottomed pan, bring milk to a boil with bay leaf and cardamom. Let it simmer until slightly reduced.
- Add the fig paste and mix well.
- Stir in the cashew and almond paste, followed by condensed milk, sugar, and milk powder.
- Cook on medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the mixture thickens slightly.
- Add dry fruits, stir gently, and turn off the heat.
- Serve warm or chilled as Dumur Kheer.
