Orange Paneer Jugalbandi: an orange twist in paneer

Orange is very important source of vitamin C. It is good to make the dish during the winter but with the availability of the fruits round the year one can cook this anytime they want.

As we are stressing more on immunity building paneer and orange are beneficial for health.

Recipe Name:- Orange Paneer Jugalbandi

Ingredients:

Paneer – 300 gm

Orange juice – 3 tbsp

Posto Bata (poppy seed paste) – 2 tsp

Kajubadam Bata (Cashew paste) – 2tbsp

Milk with Malia – 1/2 cup

Whole Cumin seeds (Gota Jeera)

Dry Red Chilli whole – 2 pcs

Butter – 1 tbsp

Oregano – 1 tsp

Salt as per taste

White oil as per requirement

Ginger paste – 1/2 tsp

Process for Orange Paneer Jugalbandi:

Take a frying pan and heat the oil. Then add cumin, dry chillies, and paneer. Stir it well. Add ginger paste, salt and stir it for some more time. Take the Cashew paste (Kajubadam Bata ) and poppy seed paste (Posto Bata) and add to the pan.

Keep the flame low so that all the ingredients mix well with the paneer. As the paneer gets thickened add the orange juice, oregano, and butter to it. Switch the gas off. And put the lid on the pan for 5 minutes.

Take a few whole orange pieces to decorate on the top of the dish. You can also put two whole pieces of dry chilli to enhance garnishing and colour. Your dish is ready and serve with either Paratha or Roti.
