Sagoo Pearl Pulao: a good vegetarian diet to include daily

A vegetarian diet is most underrated one with the myth of unavailability of variety whereas if one thinks of recipe there are many vegetarian ones as well.

Today we will learn about Sago pearl pulao, a vegetarian diet recipe which is usitable for people who love vegetarian food. Sago i a highly nutitious food, that is also suggested for pregnant women and childre. Because of its high carbohydrate content, it is a fast energy booster. As it has a neutral flavor, it can also be used to add texture to soups and breads. In addition, it helps limit the consumption of high-calorie and high-carbohydrate foods. Thus, you might think eating sabudana makes sense when fasting season is approaching, especially since it is traditionally eaten during fasting seasons.

Vegetables help in building the necessary ingredients that the body needs regularly to build immunity.

Ingredients required:

Cumin (Jeera) – 1 1/2 tsp

Curry leaves

Ghee

Ginger paste – 1 tsp

Green Chillies – 2 pcs

Sago – 2 cups

Semi boiled potato – 2 medium diced

Chopped carrot

Chopped beans

Coriander leaves

Raisins

Semi crushed

Non salted roasted peanuts

Kaju

Sugar

Salt

Garam masala

Lemon

Procedure:

STEP 1 – Soak the sago in a cup of water for at least an hour. After one and half hour the sago will be soft and it will increase in size.

STEP 2 – Take a pan and put 2 tbps of ghee and heat it. Add 1 and half teaspoon of cumin and curry leaves, and saute it for 40 to 45 seconds. Add the ginger paste and chopped chilles and saute it for another minute .

STEP 3 – Now add the potatoes, carrot, beansand again saute it well. Cook it for at least 5 min in low to medium flame and add salt to taste.

STEP 4 – Then add semi crushed non salted roasted peanuts, kaju and raisins, mix it well with the veggies and saute it for 1 minute.

STEP 5 – Add soaked sago pearls in it and saute it well in low flame with light hands for 1 to 2 mins. Add half a teaspoon of Garam masala and saute it for 2 to 3 mins .

STEP 6 – Then add half a teaspoon of sugar and squeeze half a lemon into it and cook it for a minute. Lastly, add one teaspoon of ghee before taking out for serving. Garnish it fine chopped coriander .
