Soojir(Semolina) Doodhbhori Pithe

Ingredients:

  1. Semolina (Sooji) 1 cup
  2. Eggs 2
  3. Milk 1 litre
  4. Sugar 2 cups
  5. Cardamom 2 pcs
  6. Cinnamon 2 pcs
  7. Bay leaves 2 pcs
  8. Ghee 1 cup

Method:

First mix the eggs with the semolina and beat well. Egg-beaten semolina should be left for 1 hour. Boil 1 liters of milk well with cardamom, cinnamon, bay leaves and when it becomes a little thick, add sugar. Boiled milk should be removed. Now heat ghee in a frying pan and fry the semolina eggs in small size. Now add boiled milk and boil it again on low heat for some time. When the milk boils well, you have to turn off the gas. Once the semolina eggs are well soaked in the milk, the “Sooji Doodhbhori Pithe” is ready.

Everyone’s mind can be easily conquered on the day of Sankranti by serving it in a cool and beautiful pot. I have served here in stone pots on a beautiful wooden deck.
