CULTURE & HISTORY – OLD DUBAI:

Journey into Dubai’s past with a visit to the heritage district located on the banks of the Dubai Creek. It’s not just about gleaming sky-scrappers, but also you can find the Al-Fahidi district where Wind Towers, Coral blockhouses and well restored traditional Arabian doorways give you a glimpse into yesterday.

The Gold and Spice Souks:

Souk is an Arab marketplace. The Gold and Spice Souks are traditional markets located in Dubai’s commercial business district in Deira. The souk consists of jewellery and spice traders – both decades old or as new as a year. The major items of Gold souk include Gold, silver, Platinum and Diamonds. Stores in Spice souk sell a variety of fragrances, spices, herbs, and several households, textiles, tea, incense, rugs, and artifacts.

Dubai Creek:

Dubai Creek divides Dubai into Deira and Bur Dubai. A boat ride is very economical and is nice to do when one visits the souks and old Dubai, which are on either side of The Creek.

The Waterfront Market:

The Waterfront Market is located near Hamriya Port and has fresh fish, meat, fruits and vegetables. It has all the amenities of a modern marketplace with coffee shops and restaurants.

Getting around Dubai:

The Burj Khalifa:

With 830m high, the tallest building in the world, Burj Khalifa is one of the top attractions to visit in Dubai. Each night it hosts a water fountain, music and light show located just outside The Dubai Mall at the base of The Tower. The aerial view of the city can be enjoyed from the top of the Burj khalifa. You can catch a completely different view of the world’s most iconic skyscrapers as you float on a traditional Abra (Wood).

Ain Dubai – The Dubai Eye:

Discover a new way to see Dubai – from 250 above the ground. The world’s largest and tallest observation wheel, Ain Dubai, offers unique views of Dubai’s iconic landmarks from indoor AC cabins along with a wide variety of entertainment to keep you coming back for more.

The Palm Jumeirah and Atlantis The Palm:

The Palm Jumeirah is a group of artificial islands in Dubai. Located on Palm Jumeirah island is the famous Atlantis, The Palm, a 5-star hotel with a private sandy beach, and offers a stunning view of the Arabian Gulf.

DUBAI MUSEUM OF THE FUTURE:

An exhibition space for innovative and futuristic ideologies, services and products, the Dubai Museum of the Future was inaugurated on the memorable night of 0f 22.02.2022. It is termed the ‘most beautiful building on earth” and is a new addition to Dubai’s skyline located on Sheikh Zayed Road in the Financial District of Dubai.

Desert Safari and Ski Dubai:

The best beaches in Dubai includes JBR open beach, The Palm Jumeirah, Marina beach etc. The iconic 7-star hotel, The Burj Al Arab, is in the famous Jumeirah beach.

Malls in Dubai and The Dubai Mall:

Dubai is a dream for shoppers, and with so many malls boasting fun attractions, there’s so much to explore. The Dubai Mall is the world’s largest mall and is the destination for shopping, entertainment, leisure and is located next to the Burj Khalifa. DSF- Dubai Shopping Festival:

DSF is an annual month-long event during winter that offers merchandise discounts, raffle draws, and many more attractions and is a part of Dubai’s tourism department.

Public Transport, Dubai Metro and Food of Dubai:

The primary forms of public transport are the Dubai Metro, taxis, buses and water taxis, also known as abras.

The Dubai Metro is one of the most modern and economical public transportation systems globally.

Dubai has a multicultural variety of cuisines from different parts of the world, including seafood and grilled meat or fish. Popular beverages are coffee and tea. Dates are usually consumed with the meal.
