Rice is gluten-free hence it is easily digestible. Many people would go hungry without rice, or something to replace it. It energises the body with proper vitamins and nutrients. Rice provides approximately 50% of the calories that people eat in the world. As rice has a low sodium, fat, and cholesterol content, it helps to reduce obesity.

This recipe is particularly healthy as a small amount of mustard oil is required. Pumpkin leaves are rich in Vitamin A and C. Vitamin A helps in the improvement of eyesight and the maintenance of healthy skin and hair, whereas vitamin C helps in the healing of wounds, the formation of scar tissue, as well as the maintenance of healthy bones, teeth, and skin.
